After its launch in late 2019 and 1.5 years of the COVID-19 pandemic disallowing travel and in-person meetings on firm ground, the ETL GLOBAL French Desk celebrated its first physical meeting last week.
On September 16th and 17th, 15 participants gathered in Paris representing the French Desk in the following countries (outside of France):
- Belgium
- China & Asia
- Germany
- Great Britain
- Poland
- Spain
With external speakers from organisations facilitating international business of French SMEs, the French Desk got valuable insights into possibilities of supporting their clients on their way abroad through the different initiatives in place to support French companies involved in an internationalisation process, from grant to loan.
The presentations were held by representatives of the French International Chamber of Commerce CCI France International (Chambres de Commerce et d’Industrie Françaises à l’International), Business France (the French national agency supporting the international development of the French economy), CIC (Crédit Industriel et Commercial) and Bpifrance (Banque publique d’investissement) from the banking sector.
Apart from the interesting contents, obviously, everybody was delighted to have a “real meeting” and to resume social contacts with international colleagues again.
