ETL GLOBAL is delighted to announce the recent results of its Dutch arm in the rankings: This year, ETL Nederland has been listed 18th in the Accountancy van morgen (AV) ranking, surpassing its already excellent position from last year! According to AV, ETL GLOBAL has been one of the fastest growing firms over the last year, with almost a 40% increase in turnover, which has got them into the top 20 of the ranking in record time.
Vanessa Spaans, ETL GLOBAL’s Master Partner in the Netherlands, is optimistic about the development of the company in the upcoming years, as she states in her interview in the Dutch publication: “Our ambition is to push through to the top ten. (…) Our model is attractive. Although we buy the majority of the shares of an SME office, the management retains full autonomy and shares. For SME offices, the urgency to join a larger party is escalating. Due to the increasing obligations, stricter requirements for audits and larger investments in automation, the pressure is high. The tight labour market also plays a role, as it is often more difficult for smaller players to attract people.”

Key to ETL GLOBAL’s success (not only in the Netherlands) is its growth-by-acquisition model.
In an increasingly demanding market, small and medium-sized accounting firms see ETL GLOBAL as a way to be part of an international group, while retaining the advantages of independence in business operations, culture and ownership in combination with a continuity guarantee into the future. One example is the recent acquisition of IPA-ACON group, based in Haarlem, North Holland. In addition to the usual audit, accounting and tax services for SMEs, they specialise in annual accounts and subsidy audits for municipalities, joint schemes, foundations and associations. In addition, the firm takes on administration & trusteeship, mentorships, as well as family and labor mediation. IPA-ACON Assurance will provide services to customers under the name ETL Assurance & Government Accountants in the future. The management will remain in the same hands, reinforced with the arrival of Ronny Schuijt who brings along vast experience as an external accountant for municipalities, non-profit institutions, SMEs and group audits. The other group companies, IPA-ACON Advies and De Clercq Administratie & Belastingadvies continue their services as accountancy firms unchanged and under the same name.
