ETL GLOBAL is delighted to share the ongoing success of its ETL Challenge program, an international internship program within the ETL GLOBAL network. Through this initiative, professionals can immerse themselves in the working practices, business culture, and professional networks of peers in different countries and gain an invaluable experience abroad.

One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s edition is the expansion to 10 participating countries, up from just 4 last year during the pilot project (Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Spain and the UK). Participants can now choose to participate in the challenge also in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates, having the opportunity for even more diverse experiences.

Let’s take a closer look at a couple of 2024’s ETL Challenge highlights!

The UAE has become one of the most sought-after destinations in the challenge. This year, Igor Mikic and Timo Lankamp from ETL Netherlands had an enriching stay at the offices of TME Services, ETL GLOBAL Member in Dubai, where they have experienced firsthand what it is like to live and work in this vibrant city.

During their week-long exchange, they collaborated closely with their Dubai colleagues and even recorded a compelling podcast on Transfer Pricing. In the podcast, they shared their perspectives from a European viewpoint and reflected on their experience in the UAE. Watch the video to gain deeper insights into their unique journey:

Two Italian colleagues from NexumStp, Sofia Giubergia and Giulia Fischetti, had their first immersive visit by meeting with counterparts at Wilder Coe in London. They gained insights into UK accounting and taxation practices and observed the operations of an ETL GLOBAL UK firm. The team ensured Sofia and Giulia had a genuine taste of English living, with exciting outings throughout the week.

ETL GLOBAL is thrilled to see more countries joining the ETL Challenge, fostering enduring connections among team members, and creating a closer global community among employees and offices worldwide. A warm thank you and congratulations to Jana Foukalová, the manager of this successful program!
